Liam Applegath

About Me

My name is Liam Applegath, and I was born and raised in Kamloops, British Columbia, where my love for the great outdoors began. Over the years, fly fishing has become one of my biggest passions. Recently, I have faced some new challenges as bug hatches slow and the metabolism of fish begins to drop with falling temperatures.

My curiosity about why fish behave the way they do has led me to develop a real interest in ichthyology (the study of fish). I want to understand what fish eat, when they feed, and where they like to be. Through my fishing journey, this website will document my challenges, discoveries, and fun moments, as well as dive into the nerdy side of fly fishing that truly captures my interest.

This is a Pumpkin themed nymph I tied this October.

I started tying flies and have them up for sale now.

Available patterns for dry, wet, nymph, emerging and streamers. Built to last and so you can keep catching fish.

One of my newest and favourites.
